About The Skills Confidence Inventory Test


 

The Skills Confidence Inventory measures your  perceived level of confidence in performing
skills related to the six General OccupationalThemes (GOTs). Your confidence levels
are also compared with their levels of interest in  the GOTs. This new measure of skills confidence
is available with the Strong, which allows the measurement of both interests and perceived
skills to assist in the career-planning process. It opens discussion of your confidence level
inyour r skills, a factor that could be preventing the client from considering high-interest studies/ careers.

The report shows whetheryou have very little, little, moderate, high, orvery high confidence in skills related to the six GOTs. The report allows the comparison of interests and skills while organizing results into four categories for prioritizing exploration:
 

  • High Priority: High Confidence, High Interest
  • Possible Option if Interests Develop: High Confidence, Little
  • Interest
  • Good Option if Confidence Increases: Little Confidence, High Interest
  • Low Priority: Little Confidence, Little Interest

  • We use this inventory with college students and adults entering the workforce or exploring new careers. It takes less than one hour to complete. The Strong Profile is included in addition to the Skills Confidence Profile.
